With the music river flowing over the rapturous rapids and with a wonderful waterfall of captivating compilations & tremendous tunes, we may have needed to sink our paddle deep to find our latest Podcast & Track of The Week choices, but our two tip toppers soared swiftly into our  shimmering selections sky, a  truly phenomenal track production along with a duo of dance podcast devotions hitting the highest of our heavenly house music marks,  download stream options large image clicks below, while we dish up our devotions beneath

It’s been another week when a wave of marvellous music has landed in our inbox, meaning that we have once again spent a considerable amount of listening hours weeding out the wheat from the chaff, even this thinning out leaving a number of contenders vying for our weekly podcast & track crown, while it soon become clear that our two (or is that three) selected tip toppers were a country mile ahead of the others, having hit the highest of our heavenly house music marks in a magnificent way.  And with both producers we have plucked out makes significant waves on the scene, the first very much here in London, while the second continues to cut a significant stride right around the world, we share our usual dinky devotions to each, while also pointing you to those all important download/stream links in this our latest “Podcast & Track of The Week” feature, although in slightly more focussed form this time round.

So, let’s crack on and to our podcast pick first, or should we say two, as our recently crowned “…Premier Protégé Player…” Adam Turner has delighted us so much with his two latest mixes that we simply couldn’t separate them, meaning that both “Room Service Vol. 12” & “In The Mix – Jemmone” have produced a precedent as far as our podcast picks are concerned, the first time that two in one week have made our tip top choice. And both are resplendent reflections of the Turner style of sound, very much uplifting & vocally injected, while also propelling the pumping progressive side of his genre selections, the Room Service mix a little more that the Jemmone release, perhaps reflecting both the differing audiences as well as situ’s. Yet what they both represent, is a burgeoning career that sees Adam landing from an eleven day run of bookings, club wise the likes of Popcorn, A:M, & Beyond (yes you heard us right) as well as, naturally, Room Service, while with gigs at Circa and regular spots & stand-in’s at mover & shaker online DAB radio station, Jemmone, our main man Mr Turner is busier than ever. So, given this solid run of showings, it is little surprise that his studio productions have taken a little bit of a backseat, although a little birdie tells us that he has a new track mix/remix in the making (or at least planned), “Keep On Rising” set to get his 2K13 treatment, while we are more than content with both these podcasts, ones well worth adding to your collection by hitting on https://soundcloud.com/clubroomservice/room-service-vol-12-adam-turner & https://soundcloud.com/adamturnermusic/adam-turner-in-the-mix-jemm, or by simply clicking on the large images above & below.

To our “Track of The Week” now and a production that literally caught us by surprise & then swept us off our feet when it emerged into our world last Wednesday, the phenomenal Pagano remix of the Taylor Square & Peyton track “Run Away With You”, running the fierce completion scurrying for the sidelines as we started to assemble our selections for our tip top weekly choice. And in this towering track, originally conceived back in 2012 by prolifically powerful vocalist Peyton Christopher & Australian D.J./producer Alex Taylor, better known on the circuit as Taylor Square, Pagano has chosen well to perform a production remix, while this thoroughly entertaining video captures Peyton & Alex’s cavorting & a car, speeding around Sydney to simply sensational single of theirs, the to the beat head movements simply hilarious

our fab Fran having done considerable justice to the original at https://soundcloud.com/alex-taylor/taylor-square-peyton-runaway. Described as “…a sexy, melodic groove that takes you around the world and back again in just over 7 minutes, with absolutely no jet-lag!…”, there is certainly no kind of lag in this superbly stratospheric seven minutes of magnificent music, Pagano adding a tough tech edge to both the intro and the exit, as well as running his pumping progressive sound through the rest of the track, cleverly highlighting Peyton’s base-lines to brilliant effect. And while there is no doubt that the original has amazing appeal across a broad range of listening portals, our Italian Stallion’s version is definitely for the dancefloor and will no doubt be in his bag of beats tricks when he hits Tel Aviv this weekend as the city celebrates Pride in a big way. As for the production itself, with the original link cat already out of the bag and one worthy enough as an addition to your collection as it is, we reckon that, just like ours were, your feet will be swept from underneath you with the pumping progressive power of this vivacious version of a track when you when you grab your copy of the truly phenomenal Pagano re-work by clicking on the large image below or by heading to http://beatport.com/track/run-away-with-you-pagano-remix/4445641 the pumping progressive power of  this vivacious version of a track definitely doing justice  “Track of The Week” selection.

So that’s our two (three) tip top choices for this week, while our eyes are already looking forward to next week as the podcast & track picks are very much lining up & vying for our attention, Matinee possibly looking like playing a big part, while for now & in the majestic music of Adam, Alex, Pagano & Peyton, we have a fabulous come fantastic four who easily prove for us that “Music Is The Answer!” (DISCO MATT)

About discomatt

The History........................................................Created in 2008 after a short period of blogging under his real name, the pseudonym, “Disco Matt”, was born on the back of a reputation for being London’s original party boy having partied and clubbed across the London gay scene since in mid 1990’s.........................................................Through his series of blogs via individual blogging pages which soon morphed into a full blown website (http://discomatt.com), Disco Matt established himself as an independent journalist come columnist who quickly gained a reputation for supporting & promoting one of the world’s most prolific clubbing scenes. He previewed, reviewed & recommended London gay clubs, as well as the diverse gay/metrosexual London club/bar culture, linking to & reviewing the scene top D.J.’s and generally covering the gay scene including international gay events....................................................Regularly reporting on the top events across the scene, Disco Matt’s reviews, over the years, developed a strong following, not just by clubbers, D.J’s, promoters, music producers & scene faces, but people far and wide that were looking for an insight to the incredible scene that was London. He also previewed upcoming events that signalled, either a major change or update of existing clubs, new ventures on the gAylist/metrosexual scene, or where he considered events that deserved more comprehensive coverage to that provided in other posts.............................................However, having pretty much reached the top of his game in his chosen specific field, due to a number of personal predicaments, challenges & changes in his life priorities, Disco Matt parked his writing and operation in February 2014. While the burning desire to continue remained, what this much needed period of inactivity did provide was the time & space to re-think & re-focus his activities on a broader spectrum of media and entertainment............................................................So, following this long two year lay-off, he built up the foundations for this diversification into the areas of film, theatre, radio & television where his reviewing, recommending & reporting was to be replicated & resurrected, also pointing his promotions through more visuals & video's linked to all these areas along with his core activities and passions ................................................................................The Present....................................After another (shorter) period of lay-off from mid 2016, a life changing event reignited his passion and early into 2017, Disco Matt has delivered on his promise for a new, more modern look to his website, shedding the old & tired skin in favour of something far more in keeping with the times and with his blogging roots. And he has waived a fond farewell to his clubbing days, this having also been ditched from his site & activity, rather now just focussing on the genres of film, theatre, radio, television, video and of course, music, in so doing, aiming to broaden his appeal to a much wider audience interested in the latest most cutting edge areas of media & entertainment.............................................................................His aim is to be highly regarded across the industry for his writing in these fields and ultimately become a full time critic in film &/or theatre.
