With three exceptional events to enrich the London Gay Pride 2013 clubbing circuit schedule, Hustlaball seems to be showing the competition a clean pair of heels, pre & post parade parties plus a morning after meet grabbing much of the headlines, we preview paragraphing  each in dinky delving detail.

While it is pretty clear that Gay Pride here in the capital has been a shadow of its former nineties & early noughties self, the last three to four years seeing it deteriorate in terms of both stature & size, the usual post pride clubbing schedule having shrunk considerably as Madrid & Cologne have stolen London’s thunder. Yet with the tide seemingly turning as this annual gargantuan gathering is handed a gift, the switch it’s its schedule to the last Saturday in June seeing it break free from its European counterpart completion, plus with the park party phenomenon very much in the ascendency, there does seem more a buzz about the 2013 festivities, although they couldn’t have gotten worse than last year’s World Pride debacle. And playing a significant part in the Pride weekend clubbing schedule is a brilliant brand that is very much pushing the partying boat out, not one or two, but three exceptional events that are both singularly & collectively showing the close competition a clean pair of happening heels, its collaboration with an afterhours legend in our lifetime proving the cream on the heavenly Hustlaball 2013 London Gay Pride cake.

So what has this manly meet got in store for us this Pride? Well it all starts with “SexyHustla” on Friday 28th June, at No. 65 (formerly Covert), this special one-off clubbing event marrying Hustlaball with Cologne based club Sexy, one of Germany’s foremost meets, international connections with Matinee, WE, Delice & both summer festivals, Circuit & XLsior, while back home, it’s associations with Propaganda in Berlin, Fame in Stuttgart & Pink Inc in Hamburg are just three of a few that make Sexy one of the most popular parties in the country. And with the ethos of the brand similar to Hustlaball’s, the marriage of minds seem to fit well, while two of its resident roving D.J.’s will be flying the Sexy flag at “SexyHustla”, Oliver M & Rony no strangers to the capital’s clubbing scene, having played for a number of brands here, while making up the Hustlaball side of the show will be Paulo Moreno & Ben Jamin. However, the D.J.’s aside, No. 65 Club will be awash with some of the world’s biggest (in more ways than one) porn stars, who will be raring to party after the “Hotrods” awards event which precedes “SeuxyHustla”, we already having given you a flavour of this awards bash in our press release preview, “Porn Prior To The Park” (http://discomatt.com/web/?p=7821) where you can find details of voting & entrants, this the second year of what is fast becoming THE porn awards talk of town, a host of stars from the adult entertainment industry descending on No 65., including special guests  Chi Chi La Rue (The Queen Of Porn), Trenton Ducatti, Tommy Defendi , Paddy O’Brien, Jeffrey Davids, JP Dubois and Sam Barclay as well as celebrities from TV and music who will be presenting the awards to the winners. So, with “Hotrods” proceedings pouncing into action at 10 pm with a VIP (by invitation) red carpet reception, when interviews for the press and television crews will take place ahead of the awards, the club proper is open to joe public from 11.30 p.m. for the climax (ooh er!!) of the awards, when “SexyHustla” takes over & parties deep into Saturday morning, further details up at https://facebook.com/events/533464976710965/, while for info on “Hotrods” head to http://hotrodsawards.com &/or http://alexerfan.com.

Onwards to the main event, Hustlaball taking centre stage on Pride night (Saturday 29th June) with what looks like their most spectacular showing on the scene yet, as close on sixty performers hitting the specially constructed stages at host venue, Electric in Brixton, taking the awards to the stars of  global porn industry at “Hotrods” and turning out a celebration spectacle  that pushes the boundaries & showcases the world’s best porn directors & performers live and uncensored in what the organisers of calling “The Directors Cut”. So, given the enormity of this event, we have set aside a special preview which we are calling “Cutting An Electric Edge”, in which we will be sharing our own uncensored & unbridled attention to what looks like being THE post pride party of the decade let alone year. However, we couldn’t leave our feature focus here wanting, so we will be spilling a few of the “Directors Cut” beans, Electric being totally transformed for this porn-tastic party, that main stage the spotlight, while there is a specially set aside VIP room, masterminded & charged by Sam Barclay and JP Dubois, while the upstairs terrace come viewing platform will lead to a special playroom/area hosted by horny brand Hard On. However, the majority of eyes will be on that main stage & shows and with  Britain’s very own porn superstar, Marco Sessions, in the director’s chair, his colossal cast headed by Trenton Ducati, winner of the 2013 XBIZ awards Best Performer of the Year category, along with stars like Tomy Defendi, Chris Daniles, Martin Mazza, Antionao Agulier, Ryan Raz, Rafa Garcia, Jessy Ayres, Tyson Taylor Tomas Brand, Logan Rogue Paddy O’Brien & Marco’s mucca, Issac Jones, this list extending to well over forty others, this “Directors Cut” delight will definitely prove to be an all-night long erotic display and indulgent experience in true Hustlaball style. But with music also having its say, special guest D.J. Leomeo back in the Hustlaball driving seat after a stunning set at the recent Brussels bash, he joined by Tony English, Manny Ward & Tony Bruno, all experienced hands for this brilliant brand, as well as having the likes of Lovechild, SuoerMartXe, & La Demence parties as part of their playing portfolio’s. So, the show is very much on and tickets are already the hottest in town as sales have gone through the roof, the first three phases of advance passes sold out and with prices rising closer to the event, now is the time to grab the last remaining standard £26 tickets by heading online to http://www.clubtickets.com/gb/2013-06/29/hustlaball-london-electric-brixton, where, if you fancy some red carpet treatment, the VIP package is also up for grabs at £79 (a good deal when you see what’s involved), while https://facebook.com/events/519313121463895/ is the place to head for full event details, more info also up at http://hustlaball.com & http://alexerfan.com.

So to the third of three, as for the first time in London, Hustlaball is going afterhours and in a big way, as it has joined forces with the mother & founder of this fabulous format, Trade responsible for transforming Sunday morning’s for clubbers back in the nineties & into the noughties and remains the industry standard for afterhours audacities. And in choosing Colosseum in Vauxhall as the host venue, will fit both the Hustlaball & Trade ethos & feel fabulously, the venue renowned as an after-party place, Trade having showed its hand there on a handful of occasions since the closure of Turnmills, while many will know it as the original home for beyond, although we don’t say too much about that brand here!! Billed as a “…no nonsense music-lead dance party…” “The Morning Party” which takes place on Sunday 30th June, will be spread across all of Colosseum’s three rooms, the music policy plan being progressive & deep house in the second space, more vocal tech in the VIP place, while the main room will be masterminded by the amazing sound of Berghain Berlin with one of its Paramount Bar resident D.J.’s Boris. Indeed, with the mere mention of the name Berghain, we have two towering afterparty brands brought together under one roof, we already having prepared the ground on these giants of the morning party scene in our post, “Berghian’s Boris At Ball Bash” (http://discomatt.com/web/?p=8039), although with the full P.R. package at our fingertips can add the dynamic D.J. line-up that has an impressive international flavour to it, not least as our Italian Stallion, Pagano, heads up the Trade room, while pint sized powerhourse Andrei Stan jets in from his base in Brussels to vamp up the vocals in the VIP space. But the cast doesn’t stop there as joining Boris in the “Berlin Calling” Berghain main room will be D.J./Producer D.O.N.S., of “Pump Up the Jam” & “Nighttrain” fame, while Nick Tcherniak flies the Trade flag in the second space, his residency for the club stretching back to the latter days of the Turnmills era, so a perfect fit for this latest Trade foray. But, while music takes centre stage, there will be plenty of eye candy on offer too, as with the stars of porn led by Harley Everett proving that they don’t just get hard, they party hard, plus with the combination of the eroticism and raunch of Hustlaball with Trade’s surviving status as the “…original all night bender…” along with the Berghain “…daylight decadence & debauchery…” delivery,  this is one “Morning Party” meet you won’t want to miss, further full-on event & D.J. details up at https://facebook.com/events/391823837594958/, while we strongly advise grabbing an advance £10 ticket while you can by heading to http://alexerfan.com and hitting the “Buy Tickets” button, which also leads to the other two parties too.

So, with three exceptional Hustlaball inspired events across what is undoubtedly their biggest weekend in London ever, you have three prolific parties to sink your senses into, hotter happenings you couldn’t want to wish for, meaning that Pride in London is definitely looking up courtesy of Hotrods, SexyHustla, The Directors Cut & The Morning Party and we couldn’t be more Hustlaball happy. About discomatt

The History........................................................Created in 2008 after a short period of blogging under his real name, the pseudonym, “Disco Matt”, was born on the back of a reputation for being London’s original party boy having partied and clubbed across the London gay scene since in mid 1990’s.........................................................Through his series of blogs via individual blogging pages which soon morphed into a full blown website (http://discomatt.com), Disco Matt established himself as an independent journalist come columnist who quickly gained a reputation for supporting & promoting one of the world’s most prolific clubbing scenes. He previewed, reviewed & recommended London gay clubs, as well as the diverse gay/metrosexual London club/bar culture, linking to & reviewing the scene top D.J.’s and generally covering the gay scene including international gay events....................................................Regularly reporting on the top events across the scene, Disco Matt’s reviews, over the years, developed a strong following, not just by clubbers, D.J’s, promoters, music producers & scene faces, but people far and wide that were looking for an insight to the incredible scene that was London. He also previewed upcoming events that signalled, either a major change or update of existing clubs, new ventures on the gAylist/metrosexual scene, or where he considered events that deserved more comprehensive coverage to that provided in other posts.............................................However, having pretty much reached the top of his game in his chosen specific field, due to a number of personal predicaments, challenges & changes in his life priorities, Disco Matt parked his writing and operation in February 2014. While the burning desire to continue remained, what this much needed period of inactivity did provide was the time & space to re-think & re-focus his activities on a broader spectrum of media and entertainment............................................................So, following this long two year lay-off, he built up the foundations for this diversification into the areas of film, theatre, radio & television where his reviewing, recommending & reporting was to be replicated & resurrected, also pointing his promotions through more visuals & video's linked to all these areas along with his core activities and passions ................................................................................The Present....................................After another (shorter) period of lay-off from mid 2016, a life changing event reignited his passion and early into 2017, Disco Matt has delivered on his promise for a new, more modern look to his website, shedding the old & tired skin in favour of something far more in keeping with the times and with his blogging roots. And he has waived a fond farewell to his clubbing days, this having also been ditched from his site & activity, rather now just focussing on the genres of film, theatre, radio, television, video and of course, music, in so doing, aiming to broaden his appeal to a much wider audience interested in the latest most cutting edge areas of media & entertainment.............................................................................His aim is to be highly regarded across the industry for his writing in these fields and ultimately become a full time critic in film &/or theatre.
