DM Dance Diary

Back in January we issued a brief report publishing our whereabouts, predominately as, during February, we were spending a considerable time out of the capital, so, with an inevitable break in our regular posting transmission, wanted to keep you informed of our whereabouts.

However, as our life seems to be increasingly hectic and with so many different clubs, bars & events craving for our attention, we thought we would get in the habit of keeping you informed of what’s going on in Disco Matt land and where we will be sending out our already infamous “Nibble Sized Review Tweets”, in advance of our very popular bite sized reflections, otherwise known as our “Preview The Reviews”, all of course in advance of where it all began, our full-on reviews of where we have been & been seen.

Now, May has already been a hectic month for us so far, with the first day alone seeing four club visits, Beyond vs La Demence, Downtown, Lovelife & WE Broadway, while we polished it all off on 2nd with Later. The prolific pace continued last week, with a trio of club & event visits which we termed as our “Soho Society Social Soiree Showdown”, taking in Industri, Room Service & Society on 4th, 5th & 6th respectively, rounding off four delightful days with one of the best Beyond’s of the year so far, for us at least. So, with an up-coming Bank Holiday to consider, plus with heaps of review writing to post, we have toned down our dance diary a little, although, with three European trips & some exciting inclusions as well as some stark exclusions, this is how it is shaping up over the next three weeks.

Go There! Be There!

Now, you will see that, whilst there are two European trips included in our diary, this probably the most exciting development in Disco Matt land, (we have La Demence on Sun 12th June too!), there are some notable exclusions, namely Beyond, WE Party, As One & Orange, all who will be rolling out special events for the coming Bank Holiday weekend. However, due to ongoing issues with a member of the management team of The Orange Group, we have taken the painful decision to withdraw our coverage of these clubs/events until further notice. Given the gravity (no pun intended) of the situation, we are not sure where this will lead, although remain satisfied that, with so much else on offer across London, as well as over in Europe, we will not only be just as busy as ever, but will be able to report on a much wider variety of parties. With the re-emergence of promoter Wayne Shires, the collaborations between Jodie Harsh & Logan Schmitz & some exciting new changes on the horizon, both within the clubbing scene & for us, means that our future is looking bright, the future being with or without Orange!

So that’s our dance diary laid out for the rest of May & into June, so all that’s left to say is, if you see us out come say high, but as always, make sure you “Go There! Be There! (DISCO MATT)
