It hardly seems twelve months since we went strawberry picking, although not the sort that immediately springs to mind, in a field, as this strawberry picking was very much of a more sexual kind, off a beautiful Bel Ami boy’s body to be exact, this just being one of many thrills when Alex Erfan’s then new to London brand “Lookbetternaked” (LBN) came to town. Having also had the pleasure to see all twelve bronzed & brawny boys in the almost their birthday suits as the prepared for the succession of sultry stage shows, then to get up close & personal with a couple of them as well as one the biggest dildo’s we had ever seen, you can probably quickly surmise that we had a tremendous time at LBN. So it comes as no surprise that this second sexually orientated shindig gets our shout & recommendation, as the Bel Ami boys get tanned & toned, tempting you down to Fire this coming Saturday (7th May).
For the uninitiated of you, or for those of you that didn’t make it down to LBN last year, this annual event is brought to you by the team behind one of the capitals most successful clubbing brands, Lovechild, promoter Alex Erfan being the glue that sticks Lovechild & LBN together, this party a product of the monthly affair that takes place in Prague. Over in the Hungarian capital, LBN’s reputation pretty much speaks for itself, very much being the by word for excess, overtness, yet fun, the cosmopolitan & mixed feel of the Prague party people helping to fuse what ends up being one of the hottest crowd full of the sexiest models, east of Delice (no one can top Morad!!), the club, aptly called “Mecca”, being just that for the gay well to do & other folk in this former Eastern Bloc country, international D.J.’s always willing to plunder their talents on Prague, especially when some of those Bel Ami boys are willing & able (Mr Heron, you should never have told us that story!!). So, bringing LBN to London and thus serving up something seductive, sexy & sultry very much fits in with the Lovechild branding and so, as they say, “…when the glove fits, wear it…” well we do anyway.
So, having deluded to a little of the delights that will be awaiting you this Saturday, what is the proverbial meat on the bone to this Bel Ami brilliance? Well, naturally the boys will be the focus of the attention, the pick of the Bel Ami bunch travelling across to London for the event, including top pin up boy Kris Evans (not to be confused with the D.J. & BBC presenter!), while other hot hunks include Luke Hamill, Dolph Lambert, Jean-Daniel Chagall, Kevin Warhol & Mike Adams (they don’t get better than this..well for Bel Ami anyway), meaning that there will be plenty of cute candy to feast your eyes on. Now, whilst we have yet to be informed of infinite plans for these Prague playboys, we are quite sure that another sexy sideshow will be up Mr Erfan’s sleeve, we suspect in the “love” lounge, while with the Lovechild influence, the hunks will extend some of your favourite muscle men from Alex’s club brand stable, performing a series of sexy shows to compliments the Bel Ami showings.
Turning to the music and, naturally, Lookbetternaked will be providing their own resident D.J., Tommy Rogers, who will be headlining the heavenly house hits in host venue Fire’s main room, while Alex will be pulling on a handful of his Lovechild residents to support the inbound LBN guest, Paul Heron making a welcome return to the Lovechild fold after a few months absence. Paul’s pumping progressive & tech toned tunes will surely come into play and he will spearhead the Lovechild themed second space (think contact), this international jet-setter of a jock being joined by the hunky Nick Wolanski (currently known as the naked D.J….the mind boggles) who impressed us at his last Lovechild gig, with some rip roaring rhythms, a neat mixture of uplifting & tough tech that suits the Lovechild music branding to a tee. Also making a welcome return are Stewart Who & Marco Gee, Stewart very much the man with the pop-tastic tunes at Mr Erfan’s off-shoot, Gay City Rollers, but has a repertoire larger than Imelda Marcos’s shoe collection, while Marco gee played, for us, the set of the night when he performed at Lovechild “Muscle” back in March, so should once again pack a punch with his attractively accessible house which has definitely earned him plenty of fans at his now regular residency at Barcode Vauxhall. Completing the lineup is Work & Queer Nation promoter Patrick Lilley, who like at As One over Easter, will be turning his talents to the tunes and believe us, this is a performance you will not want to miss, his set sure to be jam packed with gems from yester year, making for a refreshing & fun-filled change to the norm.
Now to the all important detail and Lookbetternaked lands on London this Saturday (7th May) at Fire in Vauxhall, doors opening at 11 p.m. with the club running through to a planned 6 a.m. Advance tickets the usual Soho outlets, Prowler, Clone Zone & 50, and online at direct link http://.clubtickets.com/gb/2011-05/07/lovechild-presents-lookbetternaked, priced at a very reasonable £10, but with more available on the door.
