It is no quite rare to see the launch of a new club in London, not least as the tough economic climate cloud we have lived under for the last couple of years is making it hard to survive let alone thrive, while yes, it can be said that existing venues create new parties to keep the diversity & interest flowing, East Bloc, The Dalston Superstore & Barcode three examples, so when one does come along we will be the first to want to shout it from the rooftops, this coming Saturday one such occasion. Indeed while the announcement of a new night is good enough, when we look a little deeper into this latest contributor the colourful capital clubbing circuit, finding a folk of familiar faces involved in its inception, we become all the more excited about its prospects, the locale adding to our fevered anticipation. Add into the mix the experience these individuals are drawing on from previous scene successes & insolvents, dare we mention Industri, Society, Gigolo, & Salon, all which can be attributed to this tight & tidy team and the promotions pedigree is certainly pronounced, meaning that from where we are sitting & based on all our beaming, the acclimation stars are certainly aligned, & the success writing is surely on the wall.
So that’s the oration overview, but what about the detail of the party itself? Well, its name is 9 Below, the address of its locale being the inspiration, 9 Adam Street just off the Stand in London’s West End the superb spot, this private members club a compact & bijou destination that follows the trend for these types of turns, think Room Service with a delightful difference. As for the team, we reckon it pretty much speaks for itself, one of the capitals best known most loved & exceptionally experienced hands, Minty, Hrh if you please, at the helm, she the lady behind both Salon & Industri, very much part of the capitals clubbing history, while both John Brooks & Martin Princess who have presided over the resounding scene success that is Society, join her as heavenly hosts of this monthly meet. As for the music, the marvellous meet of minds also married two towering talents associated with all three of these other brilliant brands, Paul Heron having been by Minty’s side at both Salon & Industri, while Fabio Luigi is a Society resident, both impressing with pronounced international pedigree’s that pretty much speak for themselves.
