It is rare that we find ourselves so much ahead of the game, as generally we end up catching up with just days or even hours to spare, but it seems that two of Spain’s biggest clubbing brands are pointing us towards December and tempting us into shouting about their up-coming events in Christmas month. Plus, with the gloomy days beginning to dig in, even though the temperature is not yet quite winter like, we thought we would not only self indulge by looking ahead to our birthday month but also to two prolific parties, both that have the credentials to round-up the year in sparkling style, giving you the necessary detail to book your attendance place for what will surely be two amazing anniversary acclamations not to be missed.

WE Love WE

To the first and with “first” being the optimum word, as WE Party London celebrate their first anniversary, having landed in London literally a year ago to awesome accolade, the Spanish brand having spread its wonderful word beyond its borders to many parts of the world, although clearly acknowledging that London is as close as its gets to WE’s home in Madrid. Yet, while the launch event here in the capital captivated the clubbing crowds, very much stealing the initiative from counterparts Matinee & SuperMartXe, the brand introducing the its London audience to the massive LED installations & prolific production that clearly dazzled the dancing devotees, that initial sparkle faded a little in the early stages of its new found premiership, although with parties “Candy” & “Prison Of Love”, WE found itself back where it had started a few months earlier. Plus, with The Coronet in Elephant & Castle proving a perfect venue fit, very much mirroring the Madrid concept, this together with superstar resident D.J. Carlos Gallardo shining in the spotlight alongside London compatriots such as D’Johnny, Jamie Head, Steve Pitron & Gonzalo Rivas, in it’s relatively short series of stints, WE has established itself as a capital clubbing circuit colossus, very much wooing its capacity crowd of clubbing cavorters.

Disco To Disco

So, as WE London prepares to celebrate its 1st Anniversary here in the capital and given its status as one of the most prolific parties in town, we thought we would run down just a few details of its “Disco” event that takes place on Saturday 3rd December at The Coronet, as well as linking into the all important ticket purchase site, especially given that all “super advance” tickets have already sold out. To the music first and WE London are drawing on main room residents D’Johnny & Gonzalo Rivas, both who have become favourites of the followers, while international playboy D.J. Paul Heron is called upon to play “…an exclusive set featuring disco classics brought right up to date…”, the Spanish influence coming from Madrid resident Manuel De Diego who flies to in rack up his second London appearance for the brand. But there is a second room too, this time hosted by brilliant boutique club bash Room Service, both Fat Tony & Kris Di Angelis flying the flag here, Jodie Harsh also sure to make an appearance. Then there is the production and we are expecting something quite amazing for this anniversary, not least “…retro disco decor, super hot gogo shows & spectacular birthday surprises…”, no doubt those LED installations sure to thrill as will the amazing atmosphere. As for those all important tickets, you need to move fast,  as sales at http://wepartylondon.com are well & truly rocketing and with the price currently held at just £15, you are well advised to secure one now, although should you prefer to grab one in person, then The Orange Group (London promoters of WE Party) have already released batches to Soho outlets Prowler, Clone Zone & 50,  two weeks ago to be precise, as well as popping stocks into Ku-Bar & Rupert St, so plenty of purchase places to ensure you make a date with “Disco”  & what will surely be the best WE party yet.

Three Yardstick Years

Now to our second in the duo of delectable dance diary dates and it’s another anniversary, this time for Logan Presents, both the man & the promotions machine having found themselves on a bit of a rocky road in recent times, the main protagonist being last year’s SuperMartXe 2nd anniversary event at SE One club, a host of problems with the venue & security letting the promoter & his team down desperately, although more importantly, impacting on many of Logan’s loyal London customers. However, if we look back further over the history of this prolific promotions machine we find a wealth of wonderful events & brands within the Logan Presents envelope, Matinee, Hype & Up three of those brands, while events like SMX’s “Alice In Wonderland” at The Brixton Academy & a score of epic’s At The Coronet, Matinee’s “Open Air Summer Party” & Up’s showings at Dex, all great examples, each very much blueprinting the pomp & circumstance for which Logan Presents has become renowned. Then we look to the now and, despite the stiff competition they are facing, there has been a steady warming to the teams new & regular home for SuperMartXe, Pulse, a venue quite different from its original home at The Coronet, so for some purists not the SMX of old, but times they do change, so Logan & his team are certainly moving with them and riding the merry-go-round that is the capitals clubbing circuit, safe in the knowledge that it was Logan Presents that really did transform London’s clubbing environment.

Main Man Michael

So it will come as no surprise to hear that Logan is looking to push the boundaries even further in celebration of three years promoting some of the most prolific parties, this 3rd Anniversary, on Saturday 17th December, no run of the mill celebration at Pulse or even The Brixton Academy, rather in order to support a very special headlining guest, for one night only Logan, his scxhmitzels & the whole bang caboodle are moving across to The O2 Arena in Greenwich, within which is the newly formed dance venue, Proud (formerly Matter). And given that special guest, you can understand why Logan has chosen this locale, as none other than George Michael will be appearing, performing tracks from his “Catalogue Remixed” collection exclusively for this anniversary event, while for obvious reasons, other details of the event are still under wraps as the focus & spotlight really needs to shine on George who is surely the single most magnificent draw for any gay clubbing event the capital has seen, Logan himself being quoted as saying of this spectacle, “…we are thrilled to welcome London’s clubbing crowd to the biggest show the scene will ever experience, so ensure you are part of the history & not left behind…”. Now, early bird tickets priced at £15 went on sale last Thursday (3rd Nov) and sold out within 48 hours, such was the attraction of this anniversary headline act inclusion, although fear not, as a 2nd phase of early birds priced at £20, have been released and can be grabbed now at http://loganpresents.com, but like the last tranche, you need to be quick, as the standard £25 tickets have also already kicked in. So, like Logan say’s, don’t miss out on this truly monumental meet as it has all the credentials of being THE party of 2011.

Right, there it is, a duo of delectable dance dates to definitely draw into your diary, while we will of course be bringing you much more on both as the events come closer, while you have no excuse to secure your slot for this two superb spectacles by booking your places right now, meaning that you will most definitely “Go There! Be There! (DISCO MATT)
