Having gone to press a little late in April with our new(ish) monthly message, while we are a week late this month, primarily due to a rollercoaster ride of a first week, we are putting best foot forward to both summarise our activity (what there was of it) in April and then take a look at what’s coming up in May (and there is a lot already). But we say there wasn’t much in April, but we did issue 28 separate posts, although May looks set to exceed that and by some, So, without further ado, let’s get on with sharing our activity with you in a report also issued to our Facebook group members, which went pretty much like this….

Well, what a month it has been, April having included two Bank Holidays, a Royal Wedding & a whole raft of activity for us, including a trip across to Barcelona, all this combined with a full-on work schedule, meaning we have struggled to keep up our activity in certain areas. So, in trying to get back on track, we bring you our latest monthly message on what has gone, but focus more on what’s to come in May.

REVIEWS – April has seen just two full reviews posted, the first devoted to Brazilian club The Week which toured London, then our look at Beyond “Midnight”, but with a total of 10 still to come covering events during the month, we have our review work cut out.

PREVIEWS – We managed to get one full preview in on LoveLife while our Preview The Reviews (PTR’s) counted a total of 12 and remain our single most popular set of posts, these also being published in our reports section.

RECOMMENDS – Despite promising a full resumption of our posts, we struggled with only a handful of Focuses and Best Bites & Short Shouts, although did squeeze in four Extra Bites devotions, as well as lunching our new Weekly Winners Wishlist.

COMING UP – Well, with those ever mounting reviews, we need to step on the peddle with all 10, plus more for May already & our devotions to Delice Dream, while our PTR’s will continue unabated. The controversial report on Beyond, which has been held back, will be going to print and we also need to get back up to speed with our music newsletters, planning two maybe three for May, while we are committed to bringing you our archived D.J. focuses along with some new ones too. Our recommends posts should be back up to speed by this week & we are literally starting a special preview on Lovechild, with Hustlaball & May Day Bank Holiday also to come. Plus, we are pushing the envelope with a new review report entitled, “That Was The Week That Was”, covering the week Mon to Sun, the first one a special picking up the Easter & May Day Bank Holiday weekends and then our weekly devotions commencing from May 16th. On top of all of that our Does… reports on Berlin & Antwerp are close to finalisation and our devotions to South Africa (incl. associated reviews) will be next on the “Does” agenda. So, with much to do, we have had to hold back further on our Disco Matters posts, but may be commissioning one, should the reaction to our controversial Beyond report dictate the need. Finally, we could still be heading to Rome for Muccassassina’s season finale on 27th , but will keep you posted via our clubbing calendar report due out this week.

KEEP UP – One major innovation which was launched last weekend, is our “nibble sized review tweets”, which are beamed out live from the dancefloor via Twitter & then incorporated in the PTR’s & full reviews. So, if you fancy getting our happenings hot off the press, go to http://twitter.com/discomatt & follow us or just browse. Over & above that, you can go direct to http://discomatt.com/web and watch the home page for the latest activity, or failing that, keep your eyes peeled on our Facebook walls, both here, via our page at http://facebook.com/pages/Disco-Matt/112730602119746, or our profile at http://facebook.com/discomattlondon, where we post ALL our activity.

CONTACT US – Very simple, just drop us an e-mail at matt@discomatt.com , especially if you bars, clubs or event’s organisers fancy an inclusion in any of our posts. If e-mailing is not your thing, then message us through Facebook or even tweet us.

So, May is under way & we have our work cut out, so let’s get to it & see you on the dancefloor(s) from London to Rome & back again….Go There! Be There! (DISCO MATT)
