If there was ever a club review of ours that was more anticipated it was going to be Room Service’s, the creation formed in association with the peeps behind photography company “Shootmeup” and currently steered by Circus’s Jodie Harsh along with Kris Di Angelis, that made wonderful waves right from the first innings a good six months ago, yet until this day had somehow missed our cavorting calendar. But with the bit between our teeth following a fulsome trip to South Africa & intent on catching up with fellow holiday maker & Room Service resident D.J. Steve Pitron, Diu on Greek St was a date and we weren’t to be disappointed. Arriving at a neat time of 10.30 pm, the place was already pulsating with the most beautiful bunch of the best lookers you could imagine, a more stylish set & cosmopolitan collective you couldn’t have wished for, with scene faces a-plenty and many familiar to even our three week absent eye, making us feel right at home & in the groove from the start. With the man in charge delivering a delectable drench of terrific tunes through the whole of his spot on set, especially THE/our tune, yes that “Release Me” anthem, in amongst many other classics, the night was Mr Pitron’s, although the incumbent spinner Severino took up the reins superbly, serving a staggering selection of future, old skool & much in-between disco that had Room Service rocking right through till the 3 a.m. finish. Having been left in total admiration of this Soho social sophisticate, there is absolutely no surprise that this Thursday frolic is not just the talk of the town, but walk’s every bit of the walk that we imagined, so with so much more stupendous superlatives to splash out, it’s “ready steady go for the review”.
